Helping young people discover what they’re capable of.
Rooted in Staten Island, we provide resources, funding, and program support for youth-centered activities that foster leadership, responsibility, character, outdoor learning, and community engagement.
Our primary focus is strengthening opportunities for Staten Island youth while extending our mission and partnerships throughout the Greater New York area.

Friends of Unit 19, Inc. is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in Staten Island, New York. We support youth development through education, leadership opportunities, outdoor experiences, and community service.
Our purpose is to help reduce barriers to participation by bringing together donors, volunteers, businesses, and community partners to support meaningful opportunities for young people. Our primary focus is Staten Island, with partnerships and outreach throughout the Greater New York area.
Our guiding principles are simple: Learn, Lead, Serve, and Grow. We believe young people thrive when they have opportunities to develop practical skills, contribute to their communities, and discover their potential.
